Our girls - I am amazed when I think of one of my fears about adopting a girl was how Kira would get along - having to share her special spot with her dad. She wouldn't be daddy's only little princess anymore. My fears turned out to be fruitless - Serena and Kira LOVE each other. They have respect for each other and they share their dad. Each night when Kira prays, her prayers are mostly thanksgivings - "thank you SO much Lord, for my precious, most handsomest Dad..." and they are sure to include "my beautiful sister who came all the way over from Ethiopia..." This has been a gift from God - it's something we couldn't have forced to happen - it just is.

Psalm 127
1.Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain...
3.
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.
4. Like arrows
in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.
5. Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend
with their enemies in the gate.
