The last days of our vacation.

This makes more sense if you read it from the bottom up.

This is another "duck" we saw.

Here we are in the water. Our driver kept us laughing with is goofy jokes.

As the "duck" approaches the water - scary at first - will it float?

On land - beautiful!

Hang on to that baby Dad! We took a "duck" ride at Wisconsin Dells - they are old army vehicles that can drive on land, or motor through water.

In the front of Jay and Jillian's - Chicago. It was so nice to see our life long friend, Jill, happily settled in her new home with her husband Jay.

Eating supper out on their back deck -mmmm Jill's a good cook!

On the way home, we stopped in Chicago at Jillian and Jay's for the night. We enjoyed the beautiful evening playing at a park nearby and eating supper outside. Their deck overlooks a little lake - so nice!

One last photo with Davy before we took off on our journey home.

Kira enjoying Davy's dog, Sambo.

Davy giving Zeke a bath in his kitchen sink.

More dear friends from "way back", Bob and Heather, came over for supper. We love watching the babies together.

Davy having company - mmmm - marinaded pork tenderloin, ranch potato casserole, ceasar salad, and overnight cake. Foods we fondly remember from our youth!
Davy and Stu working in his kitchen - getting ready for company. I enjoyed the challenge of cooking in his "bachelor" kitchen - there were steady trips to the store for different items. ~ Next time I come, maybe there will be a lady making it her home!? He's looking!
Zeke loves playing outside. The weather was wonderful - and further along in the season - compared to ND - where we have had a hard time getting started on springtime.

The back of Davy's house. East of Columbus, OH.
The front of Davy's house. He took us in for 1 week - pretty good of a single guy - putting up with his sister and her tribe of 6 kids. Amazingly, he seemed sad to see us go - must be awful quiet for him now. We enjoyed the week away from home - beautiful weather - fun company - places to go, etc. I'm so thankful to have a brother that was willing to put us up - thanks bro!

no - we stopped at Oakdale - had a cute Amish built cabin... didn't stay long enough for the kids to enjoy all the extras.

Psalm 127

1.Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain...
3.
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.
4. Like arrows
in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.
5. Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend
with their enemies in the gate.
