As amazing and crazy as it sounds, I - the mom, am off to Myrtle Beach with my sister-in-law, Kim. These are pictures that she took when she was there last. Just me and Kim - leaving behind the whole crew. Thankfully I have an amazing husband, who is willing and supportive and a great dad. He will be doing the majority of the care for the kids, along with some friends who are babysitting Gabe during the day, and the school kids after school, until Dad comes home from work. Mom needs a break! My goal is to soak up some of God's beautiful creation, and get a breather, in hopes that it will reinspire me to be all that I can be as a mom and wife. Another thing I am greatly looking forward to is visiting my dad's stomping grounds in Carolina - and meeting some cousins that I've never met. We will be gone 1 week - and will fill you in when I return.
I say all this with faith that I am going. We are supposed to leave in 1 1/2 days, and my Kira has come down with a fever - along with my baby-sitter! As things go in families with kids - the bug may spread, so--! I continue to pack and pray - knowing that I'm never fully in control, nor meant to be. God knows how I love to travel, along with all our other wants and needs, so we just leave it in His hands.

Psalm 127
1.Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain...
3.
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.
4. Like arrows
in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.
5. Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend
with their enemies in the gate.
