Trip to Charlotte, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC

I just got back from vacation! My sister-in-law, Kim, and I went to Myrtle Beach, SC - to hang out at her auntie Ann's condo. On the way, I went to Charlotte, NC - the birthplace of my dad. I stayed with my cousin, Mike, (whom I hadn't met yet) and his wonderful family for a couple days, and got to meet my deceased grandma's twin sister and see the places where my dad grew up. I loved it in Charlotte - spring had come, and the dogwoods, etc. were in bloom. It had been a dream for a while to get there, and was so neat to actually do it. I loved hanging out with Mike - it felt like I'd always known him -

It was also so special to hang out with Kim and her Uncle and Aunt - we all share the same history, so had lots to talk about, and we got thoroughly spoiled. We hung out at the beach, went shopping, ate out (tried some amazing food), and went to the Carolina Opry!

Psalm 127

1.Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain...
3.
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.
4. Like arrows
in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.
5. Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend
with their enemies in the gate.
